Coming Together!
One
of the reasons why I've not updated recently is that
I've done too much with this site...it's layout is far
too complex for me to maintain with my limited time
schedule.
So,
I've finally had an epiphany for what to do with two DM
sites. I'm gonna join them together! ClubDM.com and
Danger-Mouse.net will eventually be amalgamated into a
single entity called The Danger Mouse Network.
As
a result, I've been working on a new layout at
www.danger-mouse.net which will also eventually work
it's way over here (I'll probably archive this old
design for those who want it, too).
What I've done is simplify things a bit...hopefully for
the best. The centerpiece will be the top of the
page, with the basic navigation permanently displayed,
and then the sub-pages will have their own links in
uniform. Pages like the Movies page will also be
modernised, receiving a youtube-esque feel rather than
an old-fashioned DivX download. Maybe, just maybe I'll
also look into some sort of Content Management System
where the community will be brought together a bit
better and allow comments on articles, reviews and
videos.
This is
going to take a lot of time and work, so please be
patient. Maybe even pop your head into the recently
re-opened forum and give a few suggestions for the new
design. I'm open to anything. Seriously.

'EAR' THIS
CHF's
entry in Manchester's
Cow Parade, Danger MOOse, had it's ears
stolen by vandals (probably in a drunken
rampage). CHF's website reports that they are
offering a reward for their safe return, and
keep dropping odd hints about what the real DM's
up to these days. |

FREMANTLEMEDIA SAY 'NO' TO FUTURE DVD RELEASES!
I'm
disappointed with FremantleMedia! After releasing less
than half of the Danger Mouse episodes on DVD,
they have decided to call it quits.
This will no doubt leave many avid DM collectors
in despair as they are stuck with only half of
their collection.
FremantleMedia employee 'Charlotte' had this to
say via email:
"We have no plans to release any more DangerMouse episodes next year. Having released so many in the last few years, we're giving the market a break from this
title"
So
now we are left with nothing. Serious collectors
such as myself now have to source the remaining
episodes by other means. I don't understand why FremantleMediahave done this...there is a lot of money
to be made, and now they're losing out!
Thumbs down, guys. I am not impressed!

MARK
HALL RETIRES
It's
a sad time for avid Cosgrove Hall fans. The last
remaining co-founder of the highly successful
animation firm has followed in the footsteps of
Brian Cosgrove and has retired from twenty seven
years of loving service. Although we as fans
appreciate the need to move on, Mark and Brian's
influence over the company will indeed be dearly
missed. We wish him all the best! |

BARRY
MANILOW BREAKS HIS NOSE
Manilow,
who was a favourite real-life subject for jokes
in Danger Mouse, suffered a nasty nasal injury
in his own bedroom. It appears that the singer
made a wrong turn in the middle of the night and
collided head-on with with his bedroom wall.
"Too many hotels," Explained
the star, famed for being a sex-idol to many
middle-aged women, "I veered to the left
instead of the right and slammed right into the
wall! I may have to have my nose fixed and with
this nose it's going to require major surgery!"
Can you imagine what kind of jokes would have
erupted if this happened while DM was in
production? |

After
